Trade Assistant - Mechanical Background

Are you a positive, reliable, and mechanically-minded individual looking for an immediate start in a Trade Assistant role? We are seeking a dedicated worker with a mechanical background to support our team of fitters in a busy workshop environment.

This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic and mechanical aptitude.

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting Fitters with various tasks.

• Performing sandblasting of parts.

• Cleaning and degreasing mechanical parts.

• Assisting with brake unit maintenance and disassembly.

• General workshop duties as required.

To be successful, you'll need:

• Proven mechanical aptitude and a background in a relevant mechanical environment.

• Experience operating an overhead crane (licence preferred but training may be provided for the right person).

• A current forklift licence.

• A positive attitude and strong focus on reliability and safety.

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
